Legend speaks of a monster Whitetail that inhabits the area. Many hunters and locals have gotten a glimpse of this monster lurking in the shadows, but have been successful in harvesting him only in their dreams. Legend and locals refer to this monster as "OLD MOSSY".

OLD MOSSY OUTFITTERS has completed its first season of operations in 2009, and is gearing up for the 2010 hunt. Although this was OLD MOSSY first year of operations, I have been hunting/guiding and trapping fur in this area for 45 plus years. This has allowed me to gain valuable knowledge of the wildlife and the area.

All hunts with Old Mossy Outfitters are wild hunts(NO CANNED HUNTS). It's not uncommon to see grey wolves pass by your stand. All my tree stands are attached and are very sturdy complete with guard rails (see photo gallery for picture) the area you will be hunting is very remote, approx. 11 miles to the nearest highway as the crow flies.
